Meet at a pickup point in Srinagar and get transferred to Bartal-Sonamarg. Upon arrival at your hotel in Baltal- Sonamarg, get welcomed with a welcome drink and complete the check-in formalities, have lunch, and proceed for a sightseeing tour in Sonamarg. You can ride on a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains around the year. Enjoy the most popular sports activities like white water rafting here in Sonamarg. And evening in spending time with friends and family. Return back to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay and dinner in Sonamarg.
Wake up in the early morning, have a delicious breakfast, and prepare yourself for the Amarnath Darshan. Drive to Baltal, from where you will start your trek to Amarnath Cave, it is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. It will take around 6 hours to trek to the cave, and if you want, you can also travel on foot, it will take more time. For a comfortable journey, you can ride a pony or Palanquin. Reach Amarnath, and shop for the necessary things required for the darshan. And visit Amarnath after reaching and spend some time and if you have any wish, then definitely ask for Baba. And start your trek downwards to your base camp at Baltal. On reaching the hotel, enjoy an overnight stay and dinner in Sonamarg. And overnight stay in Sonamarg.
Wake up in the morning and after breakfast, check out from the hotel. With golden memories, and get dropped off at Srinagar airport/ bus stand. End this trip with a Spiritual Amarnath Yatra.
The cave is a holy place for Hindu pilgrims, because of its ice content. The ice pillar present inside the cave is also called ice lingam, the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Two smaller ice stalagmites represent Parvati, his wife, and Ganesha, his son.
The Amarnath cave has an enshrined Shivaling formed naturally with ice, which resembles Lord Shiva. Amarnath is visited by millions of tourists every year from all across the world for a challenging mountainous trek called 'Amarnath Yatra'.
The length of the trek varies from 36 to 48 km depending upon the devotion of the pilgrim. The trek usually takes 3-5 days one way. The Amarnath route is much wider than the Baltal trek and slopes gradually.
The 130-ft high holy cave of “Baba Amarnath Ji,” situated at a height of 13,000 ft (3882 m) in the Northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva, is one such site of great reverence for the Hindus.
