Ujjain is one of the most sacred and holy cities situated on the banks of the river Shipra known for Jyotirlingas Mahakaleshwar. This city has a Jyotirlingas out of 12 Jyotirlingas, one city out of seven salvation-providing cities, and sacred Kumbh that takes place in four cities of India. The cave of King Bhartari is found here and it is believed that Ujjain has footprints of God Vishnu. And the love story of Rani Rupmati and Baz Bahadur which is famous for many monuments. On arrival at Indore airport/ Ujjain railway station meet our representative who will be there to greet you. On arrival Ujjain check-in hotel. Visit Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlingas Temple, a major attraction of Ujjain. Thereafter, visit other temples and ashrams of Ujjain including Sandipani Ashram, Chousat Yogini, Gopal Mandir, Bade GaneshJi, and Harsiddhi Mandir, etc. in the evening and return back to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay. In the morning may also attend Bhasmaarti at Mahabaleshwar Temple. After breakfast leave Ujjain and drive to Omkareshwar, which is about 4 hour’s journey. At Omkareshwar, visit its famous temples. Blessed with one of the Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva i.e. Mamaleshwar temple, Omkareshwar is one of the important pilgrim centers in India. Mahakaleshwar temple is also known as Amareshwar temple and is nestled on the other side of the river. One needs to pass through a bridge called Mamaleshwar Setu to reach the temple. October to March is the best month to visit Ujjain as the weather is pleasant and windy. It is the perfect time for sightseeing as the entire place looks spellbinding with temperatures hovering at 20 degrees Celsius.
Generally, the temple is not very crowded except during school vacations/Shravan month/special festive occasions. So first see the crowd before buying the paid darshan. The ling can be seen only during darshan but not touched
