The Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is popular with wildlife aficionados and birdwatchers.
What to see in Kumbhalgarh
Kumbhalgarh Nature Reserve
The Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary covers a total area of 578 square kilometers and extends through the Aravalli ranges, and surrounding parts of Udaipur, Rajsamand, and Pali. The Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary includes the historic Fort Kumbhalgarh from which it also takes its name.
This dense forest of Kumbhalgarh will surely prove to be a pleasant surprise for those who consider Rajasthan a desert state.
The green stretch of the park forms a dividing line between the two different parts of Rajasthan; Mewar and Marwar.
Fort of Kumbhalgarh
The Fort of Kumbhalgarh is a fortification of Mewar and is known as a World Heritage Site included in the Rajasthan fort system.
Built and expanded during the 15-19th century by Rana Kumbha, Kumbhalgarh is also the birthplace of the Maharana Pratap, the great king and warrior of Mewar.
Kumbalgarh is located 82 km northwest of Udaipur by road. It is the most important fortress of Mewar after Chittaurgarh.
Badal Mahal
Badal Mahal is divided into two sections: Zanana and Mardana Halls for women and men respectively. The architecture of both these sections is surprising. Furthermore, the view of the surrounding area from the top of the tower is fascinating.
Temple of Neelkanth Mahadeo
The Neelkanth Mahadeo Temple is located near the fort. This deity is one of the very few worshiped and maintained by the locals.
Ranakpur in Rajasthan is seen from afar as a green spot: wedged hills in the valley up to the valley, whereas a jewel is a white shining temple, chiseled in the fifteenth century by handsome hands, sculpting the surfaces to make it The living, speaking marble, which tells the myths and legends of the Jain: celebrates Rishabhadeva, who left a footprint here, Dharanashah, Minister of Frog Khumba, who had the temple view as a heavenly vehicle for his lord; Depa, the architect and his team of artists who gave life to the stones, and of course the Frog Khumba himself, who offered land and means for the construction of the sanctuary, forever linking his name to this place.
Chaturmukha Adinath Temple is masterfully carved and very scenic and a real chiseled ode in Rishabhadeva, otherwise Adinath, the first of Tinjankaras jain. The three-story marble building is placed on a high platform and features an unusual quadrilateral plant.
The delicate and accurate sculptures combine perfectly with the amplitude offered by the 1444 columns of the building, each decorated with unique motifs. Four huge Adinath images in marble candy face the cardinal points in Sancta Sanctorum. The pujaris, priests of the temple, will be happy to accompany you on a visit in exchange for a free offer. It’s worth it: let us point to the column with the figure of Dharanashah and that of Depa. The marble-acquired transparency is amazing, the grace of the supreme dancer’s poses and the delicacy of motives in the Kalpavalli, are memorable charms decorated with climbing charms. Like the immensity of the imagination of the architects who created this place. The other two temples of the complex are dedicated to other Tirthankaras: Parsvanath and Neminath.
