Dwarka, a holy Hindu pilgrimage city, is famous for the Dwarkadhish Temple, among other notable historical and religious sites. Every year during Janmashtami (the anniversary of Krishna’s birth), thousands of devotees from all over the world come here to participate in the elaborate festivities. Dwarka, also known as the City of Lord Krishna’, is one of the seven oldest religious sites or Saptapuris of Hindu pilgrimage. This is one of the reasons why people consider this place holy. And there are many other tourist attractions here; there are historical temples to visit. Standing at the confluence of the Gomti River and the Arabian Sea, the temple also gives you time to enjoy some of the natural pleasures lay down by nature. Next is the Nageshwar Temple, where a Jyotirlinga beckons you for blessings. The route to this temple is pleasant as you will be enjoying a boat ride to reach Bet Dwarka Island, where this temple is situated. You will surely have a great time where the devotee in you will feel blessed.
Your arrival in Rajkot marks the beginning of your Dwarka Gujarat sightseeing as you will be taken to Dwarka from here. Once you reach Dwarka, check in to the hotel and unwind. Now, set off to visit the much revered Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. in the blissful evening aarti at the temple itself. Return to the hotel and overnight stay in Dwarka Hotel.
Wake up beautiful morning have breakfast and get ready for an unforgettable trip, in proximity to Dwarka. Your day trip starts with proceeding to Bet Dwarka Island in order to visit Nageshwar Temple. Enjoy a smooth ride to Bet via Okha. From Okha port jetty, you are treated to a short sea tour in a small boat where the temple is situated. It is believed that the devotees are protected from all sorts of poisons. Come back to the hotel in Dwarka for a restful night.
Wake up with a beautiful morning nutritious breakfast and check out from the hotel. Now, you will proceed to Rajkot for your journey back home. Return home with fond memories of this religious tour.
In addition to Dwarkadhish and Nageshwar Temples, tourists can visit places that include Somnath Temple, Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Mandir, Rukshamanee Mandir, Gomati Sangam Ghat, and Gita Mandir.
Dwarkadhish Temple opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 9:30 PM. The Darshan is closed from 1:00 P.M to 5:00 PM. The Mangal Aarti starts at 6:30 AM, followed by Mangal Darshan from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Shringar Aarti and Sandhya Aarti take place from 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM to 7:45 PM respectively.
There is no entry fee to visit the temple. Visitors can visit the temple from 5:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Fabrics with Bandhni folk art, dress materials adorned with sequins, mirror pieces, embroidered handicraft items, ghagra-cholis, patola silk sarees, and embellished footwear can be bought from Dwarka.
