Rishikesh is known as the yoga capital of the world and has several ashrams that offer yoga courses. It is also a great place to have an Ayurvedic massage. The most famous places to visit in Rishikesh are Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, two iron suspension bridges over the river Ganges. Triveni Ghat, which is the confluence of the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, is a place of great religious importance. Trimbakeshwar Temple is another popular sightseeing spot. Succeed and find peace and tranquility as you sit under a starlit sky warmed by a bonfire at your campsite Rishikesh is also famous for the adventure activities offered here. There are many adventure companies that organize white water rafting which is a great experience.

Highlights

  • Laxman Jhula - This swing connecting one side of the river Ganges with the other side is the distinctive identity of the city. It was built in Vikatsamvat in 1996. It is said that Laxman had made a jute swing at this place to cross the river, Ganga. On reaching the middle of the swing, it appears to be moving. There are Laxman and Raghunath temples near this 450 feet long swing. Standing on the swing, one can enjoy the beautiful views of the surroundings.
  • Triveni Ghat - This is the main bathing ghat in Rishikesh where many devotees dip in the holy river Ganges early in the morning. It is said that at this place there is a confluence of the three main rivers of Hinduism, Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. From this place, the river Ganges turns to the right. The view of the regular holy aarti performed here at dusk is very attractive. In the evening, the scene of Aarti at Triveni Ghat is different and gives infinite peace.
  • Swarg Ashram - This ashram established by Swami Vishudhananda is the oldest ashram in Rishikesh. Swamiji was also known by the name 'Kali Kamli Wale'. Many beautiful temples have been built at this place. There are many eateries here that serve only vegetarian food. There are many shops selling handicrafts around the ashram.
  • Neelkanth Mahadev Temple - Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is situated on the top of the hill of Swarg Ashram at an altitude of about 5,500 feet. It is said that Lord Shiva took the poison that came out of the churning of the ocean at this place. After drinking poison, his throat turned blue due to the effect of the poison and he was known as Neelkanth. There is a water spring in the temple premises where devotees take a bath before visiting the temple.
  • Vashishtha Cave - The 3,000-year-old Vashishtha cave is located on the Badrinath-Kedarnath road, 22 km from Rishikesh. Many sadhus can be seen resting and meditating at this place. It is said that this place was the abode of Vashishtha, the priest of Lord Rama and many kings. Sadhus can be seen in meditative posture in the Vashishtha cave. A Shivling is also installed inside the cave. This place is very famous for tourism.
  • Geeta Bhavan - Just after crossing Ram Jhula, there is Geeta Bhawan which was built by Mr. Jaidayal Goyandkaji in Vikatsamvat 2007. It is famous for its scenic walls. Here the walls decorated with paintings of Ramayana and Mahabharata make this place an attraction.
  • Mohanchatti - This place comes between Rishikesh to Neelkanth Road, whose name is Phoolchatti, Mohanchatti, this place is very peaceful, there are beautiful valleys all around, Mohanchatti on Neelkanth Road becomes the center of attraction.

Wake up to a fresh morning with the flowing Ganges and the setting sun, have lunch at the campsite, and prepare for another day full of beauty. After this we all went to Lakshman Jhula, from there to Ram Jhula, after missing there we went to Tirwani Ghat, from there we all went to Swarg Ashram, where the beauty of Barik's design looked very beautiful, then we all went to Samandar Manthan where Shiv ji drank his wish. Waking up early in the morning in the lap of nature and experiencing the beautiful scenery intoxicated Ready Hue again Check out from the campsite, after depositing your belongings there for a while, we all went to Geeta Bhavan and roamed around, then from there we all went to Mohanchatti and roamed around. Then we had lunch then returned back to camp took our luggage and proceeded to Delhi with some golden memories we started our onward journey.
